How Coaching Works
The approach or tools used in coaching are adapted to your specific needs and learning style. Models used include:
- RET – an action-oriented approach that teaches individuals to identify, challenge, and replace their self-defeating beliefs with healthier ones that promote well-being and goal achievement (Albert Ellis).
- Voice dialogue – The method for contacting, learning about, and working with the many selves (characteristics) that make up each of us. The method provides insight in how the selves operate in their lives and how they keep them from realising their full potential (Stone and Stone).
- The Eight steps of Change (Kotter) Specifically for leaders and managers dealing with organisational change
- Principles from mindfulness that lead to an increase of awareness, focus and concentration.
